Stan's Welcome
StanHello Friends, this is Stan and I welcome you to our new Hitchcock Country website.  It's a new look with some new features and we want you to come on in and make yourself at home.  You'll notice I’ve started "Stan's Blog with a bunch of entries there already, but we're still fooling around with the best use for what I'm doing and how often to put up new stuff.  Check out our Listening room and video room for some of my music and videos, and you think to yourself, "it can't really be a room, can it?" Well, yeah, it’s right out of my music room and video vault with music and performances that I’ve been collecting for over 50 years. It's an area of the site you can go to listen and see audio and video clips.  If you have any suggestions of music or video you would like to see there just email and let me know.

We have a new "Hitchcock Country Store" that let's you put your information in and send products to addresses other than your own for gifts or that sort of thing.  We'll soon be adding gift certificates that can be sent by email.  You'll find that we're starting to add art prints of some of  my drawings and paintings that I've done and that folks have been asking about.  And, we're selling my book, "At The Corner of Music Row & Memory Lane" and my new cd project, “Roads I’ve Traveled, Songs I’ve Sung."

You’ll notice I’ve started a “blog” to put my stories about my life in classic country music and old fashioned gospel music.  The blog is called “View From The Front Porch” by Stan Hitchcock.   I put new stories on every month and I hope you will visit often to let me tell you a story about the heroes of classic country and personal insights into the life of a country entertainer.

Your friend...  Stan

My Book Hits the Street!

Book FrontMy book, "At The Corner of Music Row And Memory Lane" has hit the street and has already been nominated for two prestigious book awards on music history.  It's a collection of stories about my early days in Country Music and the people and places in Nashville and around the world that made it so memorable.  Stories of where the musicians and artists of Nashville lived and played, alligators in hotel swimming pools, pigs that fly (although, not very well), how Billy Joe lost those fingers and many more.

We  have them in stock now.  The first printing is a limited quantity and includes a special collection of my music on cd.  Order your copy today.

Thanks... Stan

This is Hitchcock Country!

This is the official site for Stan Hitchcock, a country “musicologist” noted for his hit recordings in the 60’s, his syndicated television shows in the 70’s and his three cable television networks from the 80’s to present: CMT, Americana Television Network and currently BlueHighways TV.  Stan has been both a participant and an observer of this music industry over a fifty year span; traveling with the greats, singing at the top, making stars on television and discovering new paths for the music makers and their art.

Access videos and audio clips of Stan and friends on our Media page, pictures on the Gallery and read some of Stan’s insights and stories on the Blog.

At the Country Store you will find DVDs made from favorite segments of our television shows: Heart to Heart, Reno’s Old Time Music Festival, and Old Country Church.  We also sought out and re-mastered historic audio and video selections from Classic Country, Bluegrass and Gospel.
